The island's "curse" is no moonlight sickness but an illusion engineered to break the villagers. Gray comes face to face with Lyon, the rival who once let their master Ur die, and the ice-sealed hulk of Deliora. Lyon means to revive and command the demon with the forbidden Iced Shell, unaware the statue is only a hollow corpse. Gray prepares to sacrifice his own life casting Iced Shell to stop him, until Natsu smashes his hand aside. Ur's teachings and a friend's fist thaw the frozen past.
